Congratulations to our class that finished 2nd in class points for Term 2. We were only 5 points behind Ms. Steves class. Congratulations to 7-1!
Students are reminded that tomorrow is our last day before Spring Break. Make sure you bring a $1 or a can of food for the dance. Be sure and bring some money if you would like to buy anything from the concession. Students corrected their Math homework and did some review questions for the Math Test. Some students chose to write the Chapter 3 Math Test today. Students needing more review were encouraged to work on page 121-122 # 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Everyone will finish tomorrow. Students are reminded that tomorrow we are cleaning out our lockers and our classroom. Students were treated to a fantastic puppet show by Figure Theatre from Iceland this morning.
Students worked in the library on their Social Studies projects 2nd block with their group. Students worked on Math in the 3rd block. We corrected our homework and then worked on page 116 # 4-6. We will correct that tomorrow and start our review before the test on Friday. Students helped with the school's recycling in the afternoon as a way for us to fundraise for a pizza party. Remember Gym Strip for tomorrow and Science homework is due tomorrow. We had a fire drill this morning.

In Math, we corrected our homework and reviewed percents, decimals and fractions. Students worked on page 112 # 1 - 4. We will correct it on Monday. Students set Term 3 AR goals today based on their new STAR reader tests and last Terms goals. I would like the whole class to reach their goal this term. This is our class challenge! Students silent read for 20 minutes while we set goals. In Language Arts, students read the comments on our AutumnAire website and tried to come up with theories as to what is happening in our town. Students that have not commented on the blog are reminded that part of the assessment for this project is commenting in character. Students corrected their Math homework and started learning about percent and how they are related to decimals and fractions. We watched our 'for the birds' project today in class. Students did an excellent job on these projects. In Social Studies, we finished watching our video on Ancient India and are not comparing all the inventions from different civilizations. In French block, students took a satisfaction survey from Mr. Corday and then had some time to practice their French skit "La Poule Maboule". Remember gym strip for tomorrow. Remember $2 to buy a "love" button from Me to We students. Students corrected their Math homework and worked on improper fractions and mixed numbers. We completed 12 questions on the board. We will correct them tomorrow.

This will help us set new AR goals for Term 3. Today students worked in Math on decimals and fractions. Students have page 110 #2, 3 for homework.

Then we were supposed to work on our "for the birds' project but we decided that since we were missing so many students we went downstairs to support the District Science Fair. In Social Studies we continued watching the video series "What the Ancients did for Us' and we explored all the innventions from Ancient India. For those students that were away. Today students worked on their English inferring movie maker project in the computer lab. They started to record their dialogue over top of the video clip. We will continue tomorrow in the Lab. Students silent read today for 20 minutes. We had a mini-town hall meeting for AutumnAire to discuss the pet mystery that has happened.
